Wirtshaus Gueldener Engel in Hockenheim

We have ordered for the first time and are absolutely thrilled. Friendly on the phone, friendly when picking up and the food was really great. We had black salsify with beetroot salad and steamed noodles with potato soup. When I picked it up, I spontaneously ordered Kaiserschmarrn with homemade apple sauce, which was no problem at all and was freshly made. We look forward to the next order and hope that we can soon be welcomed as guests in the restaurant.

Hello you curious :) Why 5 stars ?! let's start at the very front, when you enter through the historic entrance door, you come into a bright dining room with exposed half-timbered planks, which give the room an open and cozy atmosphere, there is also a "bay window" table, I think for 6 to 8 There is space for people. There is a nice terrace outside. The toilet facilities are clean and immaculate. On the subject of employees, to put it pathetically, you are served by golden angels :) Seriously, they are always nice, friendly but never pushy, and you also have a chat when there is time. I had two company parties, with different companies there, each about 25 to 30 people and there were no notable problems. The kitchen has been delivering really good food of really great quality for years, and that means something! If you want to eat a very good veal schnitzel, you should definitely stop at the Güldenen Engel, of course the other dishes are also very tasty. Again and again there are specials such as Venison goulash, according to the season. Corona theme: hats off! they do it completely with iron discipline, each time the hands are disinfected, the work surfaces are constantly cleaned and disinfected (which was done before), but now even more. People go out to eat, reserve, support our gastronomy, it is more important than you think. Thanks for reading

Food great, staff friendly. Price performance ratio is great. Pleasant atmosphere. Unfortunately not so much choice of dishes, but the dishes on the menu have quality.

You sit comfortably in an old, rustic half-timbered house. The service is attentive and humorous. The food tastes good, selection and price are okay. I like being here.

Several very tasty salads in the menu, friendly and attentive service. The companions' spaetzle tasted rather lax, however, there is still room for improvement. Otherwise we would have liked to give one more star. It was a nice evening with you.

As one of the few places open at that time of day, I wasn't sure what to expect. It was busy, 1 but that staff was still very attentive. Food was excellent. Next time I'm in the area, I'll definitely go back.

We´ve been there three times during F1. Despite that the restaurant was packed with people the girls in the service made you feel welcome, were very fast, professional and fluent in english. The menu was small (due to F1 ) but everybody could find something they liked. The food that we orded was outstanding, the portions were big and inexpensive compared to the food at the track. Big Thanks again to the team !

The wait was long, fair enough though since it was on F1 day, the order took also long enough to come, fair enough though again since it was a F1 day. The menu though didn't have too many options (3-4 plates), but it wasn't due to F1!

Cheese spaetzle should be that I find absolutely not successful and cozy after all. Salad dressing was good. Cellar Simone was already finished with the question of whether it tasted too slow.
